Do you have greeting cards stuffed in drawers, baskets and scattered throughout the house?
A few years ago I decided to organize all my cards in one place. (See below what I did.)
As you can see, there are other items besides cards in this basket. At one time it also held a hammer of all things. I have since reorganized and found a home for the miscellaneous items.

This is what I did to organize a few years ago.
Well, as you can see, it didn't work too well. I have to say, it was better than what I HAD been doing, which was storing cards in a cabinet. Every time I needed a card I would go and dig through the cabinet looking for the appropriate stack. By the time I had pulled everything out, found the card I needed, and put everything back in, I had a mess and had spent a ton of time looking. I might as well have just gone to the store and bought a new one in the time it was taking me to sort through the mess.
Using the basket to organize cards was a start in the right direction. At least I had made progress. I had planned to place title dividers to separate the sections, but........well, I never did get around to it. Can we say distracted! My husband is amused by how I can start on something, get in the middle and end up somewhere else altogether. He says, "It is F A C I N A T I N G!" Needless to say, I didn't get back to my card organization and over time the basket became quite messy and unorganized. How many of you can relate?
A few months ago i decided I wanted to take a run at organizing my cards again. I started searching for a product which is designed to hold greeting cards. It has taken me a few months to find it because every time I found something, they were sold out. Huh, is everyone organizing their greeting cards right now? Maybe so.
Finally, I found a card organizer and it was on sale!!!! I was SO EXCITED! I quickly ordered it along with discounted paper and adornments for next Christmas.
It is exciting when the box comes. It is rectangle shaped and full of colorful trinkets. I just love the products from this company! Ok, I am digressing.
The card organizer box came in and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and start organizing!
It came with dividers, labels and card board wedges to help hold sections in place. I loved the black and white print of the box! It will go with any colors and can be displayed out in the open if I want it to. A very elegant box, I might add.
I love this new greeting card organizer! Did I tell you it comes in 5 colorful patterns? I know you must be dying to find out more! I purchased this from Current on sale for $10.99 and used coupons to get a discount on shipping! I looked at a few others which were plastic see through containers, but I thought this one was pretty and decided on it!
What do you think? I have cards organized by occasion. I found a bunch of cards I didn't know I had, especially get well cards. So this has saved me going out to purchase cards in the future! It is so fun to find things you forgot or didn't know you had!
