Christmas Snarky Cats Journal

If you are familiar with the snarky cat stamp set you may enjoy this post. I discovered these stamps a few months ago and "just" had to get them. I am a cat lover and couldn't wait to try some projects with them. I frantically looked for where I could purchase the sets and then went to work.

I searched Pinterest boards and watched multiple videos to get ideas for inspiration. I finally decided, since it was close to Christmas, I would start my project by making a Snarky Cats Christmas Journal. I hope you enjoy it!

Supplies

Other than purchasing the Snarky Stamp sets, the Happy Planner Punch, white embossing powder, a sicker set and foam tape, I had the rest of the supplies on hand.

Other materials I had on hand were: disks for the journal, scrapbook paper, stickers which matched scrapbook paper, texture paste, glitter glue, stencils, wrapping paper, ribbon, gel medium, stamps, adhesive tape, permanent ink, ink oxide (various colors), tombow markers, derwent color pencils, rock candy crackle paint, glossy accents, posca pens and watercolor paint.

tools

Sizzix die cutting machine, dies, all in one paper cutting tool, hole punch, and label maker.

Snarky Cats

The Snarky cats were colored with ink oxide, watercolor pencils activated with water or watercolor paint or a combination.

Front Cover

Texture paste was used for snow and stencils with the past for the trees in the one above. Snowflakes were stamped and embossed. I used glitter glue on the cat's sweater to get a sparkle effect.

These Snarky cats were painted with water color paint as well as the packages. The light bulbs were done with tombow markers then covered with glossy accents to give a shine . I used texture past with stencils for snowflakes.

Back Cover

I am currently working on a Snarky Cat Journal which will feature other activities with these fun kitties. I will be sharing these soon. Happy Creating!
