I have never been great with projects which require fine motor skills. However, I have wanted to crochet lately. I had previously learned a little about crocheting years ago, but never really did anything with it. This season, I decided to give it another try and see it through.
I looked for classes on Youtube and Michael's. I found a few projects to try and have been enjoying (mostly) this learning process. To date, I have made a throw and scarf. I am working on mittens to match the scarf. I have also given "hand" crochet a try and made another throw, which I have yet to finish due to running out of yarn. So far I have not found the matching yarn, Bernat Blanket Big in Plum fest. It was a lot of fun to try crocheting with this big beautiful yarn. I have found I really like trying different textures of yarn. I don't know if you feel this way, but it is fun to find a texture you like then decide what to make.
During the process of learning crochet, I had to purchase different size crochet hooks and sewing needles made specifically for crocheting. Since we have four kitties, keeping track of my supplies was a bit of a challenge. Either I would lay my needles down, forgetting where I put them, or my kitties would get in the yarn to play with it and scatter my needles.
I was flipping through a catalog one day and saw a crochet Accessory Organizer Case and also ergonomic crochet hooks. I decided to order both since I was pursuing different projects and had to keep buying new hooks. I thought I might be able to keep track better with a case to put everything into.
Below see design and color choice. Hooks come in a rainbow of 12 colors and sizes.
On the far end to the right, is the black and white paisley pattern I choose.
Below you can see the inside of the case with the crochet hooks.

There are three zippered compartments. As you can see above, there are slots for many crochet hooks.

On the other side of the zippered compartment, you can store MORE crochet hooks and there is a zippered mesh pocket for other accessories like stich markers and crochet sewing needles. They all fit into a decorative bag for storage.

You can order both crochet hooks and Accessory organizer cases at Lakeside or LTD commodities.
I purchased mine at Lakeside, they were not expensive.
I have since, kept up with my accessories and been using some of my new hooks! I hope this was helpful to you.
Happy crocheting!
